Grow and Know receives Women Political Leaders’ POWER,TOGETHER award!

In November 2019, Grow and Know was one of 20 grassroots organizations championing menstrual health around the world who received the POWER, TOGETHER award for their contributions to the ‘End Period Poverty’ movement! The award was provided to organizations seeking to end the stigma of menstruation pervasive in society in addition to ensuring that no woman or girl is denied access to menstrual health and hygiene services.

Grow and Know’s Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Marni Sommer, traveled to Reykjavik to receive the award, which was given at the annual Global Forum for Women Leaders. The forum includes a diverse array of female politicians and influential leaders. Grow and Know shared the stage with several of their period partner champions from around the world, including Afripads, Huru International, The Case for Her, WASH United, Days for Girls, and Be Girl.
