Distributing Books
We have books in ten countries around the world and counting!
The Grow & Know books are distributed through different approaches in each country. In many contexts, Ministries of Education, United Nations agencies (e.g. UNICEF, UNFPA), and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) order copies to distribute to girls and boys in and out of school.
Different distribution models include, for example, in Cambodia, the Ministry of Education and UNICEF partnering each year to distribute our books to school libraries throughout the country, while in Tanzania, a child-focused NGO ordered copies for school clubs, with girls and boys reading and discussing the books in small groups. Sometimes our books are distributed directly to girls and boys to take home and read, sharing with their parents, sisters and brothers, and girls and boys who are out of school.
