The Dignity Period Model for distribution

In Ethiopia, a wonderful collaboration exists supported by the University of Washington (in the USA) and the University of Mekelle (in Tigray region), who came together to form Dignity Period, a non-governmental organization that partners with a local sanitary pad company, and hires trainers to travel around the Tigray and Afar regions to conduct trainings on puberty and menstruation, including how to use sanitary pads.  To date they have distributed over 300,000 copies of our Ethiopia girl’s puberty book!

Digital Distribution

We have a global partnership with Worldreader to ensure that our books are available for mobile devices and e-readers, as well as on Amazon.com.

Peace Corps Volunteers

In Madagascar, a Peace Corps volunteer incorporated the Madagascar girl’s puberty book into a girls’ group program that supplemented the annual sex-ed classes the girls received in school. The girls in the program read and presented from the book, and at the end of the curriculum, the PCV was able to gift one of the books to each of the girls.
