Ethiopia Books

The Ethiopia girls’ book, Growth and Changes, was developed in 2013 in partnership with Miz-Hasab Research Center. The book targets early adolescents aged 10-14, and incorporates real life stories as well as factual guidance about puberty, menstruation and body changes. Growth and Changes is now available in twelve local languages including: Amharic, Agnuak-Gambella, Majang-Gambella, Oromiffa, Nuer-Gambella, Af-Somali-Somali, and Tigrinya.

We are currently conducting research with adolescent boys which will inform the development of a boy’s book for Ethiopia. We expect the boy’s book to be available in 2024.
