Requests have come in for the development of a puberty books for boys in more countries, and a book for older girls and boys struggling with the challenges of sexual pressures. The aim will be to develop a model of each in Tanzania. We have also received invitations to develop girl's puberty books in Zambia, Eritrea, Rwanda, and Senegal. The importance of capturing the voiced experiences of young people within each country is central to the development of future books, and so expansion will occur at a pace that will assure the highest quality books can be developed while relationships are built to gain buy-in from the highest levels of education and health policy within each country.
Zimbabwe and Uganda
Independent experts have adapted the Tanzania girl's puberty book on their own to the Zimbabwe and Uganda contexts. Save the Children also adapted the book to Uganda, and developed a Uganda boy's puberty book.
Nepal, Malawi and Bolivia
Save the Children in Nepal, Malawi and Bolivia have independently adapted the Tanzania girl's puberty book to those country contexts, and developed boys' puberty books for those contexts.
Through a partnership with Sally Piper, Grow and Know provided guidance and financial support to aid in the development of the Laos girl's puberty book which was published and received approval from the Laos Ministry of Education in 2014.
